In Willow Creek world (in the Pendula View district):
-Move The Drifter onto the Parkshore Lot 
*Use (testingcheats on + freerealestate on) if needed
-Select the Residential Lot type you'd like to start gameplay with - can be changed any time
-Select Lot Traits - can be changed any time
-Select Lot Challenges - can be changed any time

You may customize all other Worlds

In Willow Creek world (in the Pendula View district):
-Evict any Sims on the Parkshore Lot 
-Demolish the Parkshore Lot 
-Select the Residential Lot type you'd like to start gameplay with - can be changed any time
-Select Lot Traits - can be changed any time
-Select Lot Challenges - can be changed any time

You may customize all other Worlds

In Create A Sim:
-Create one Young Adult Sim 
-Pick 1-3 Traits 
-Select an Aspiration - may be changed any time during gameplay
-Choose up to 20 Likes and/or Dislikes - or let these be acquired through game play
*Note: Using Story Mode could potentially make an easier challenge

-Move The Drifter onto the Parkshore Lot
*Use (testingcheats on + freerealestate on) if needed

-Drop the Active Household Funds to $0 Simoleons
*Use (testingcheats on + Money 0)

-Save your game
*Optional - Make a backup save of your game - you will not have to redo all the set up procedures if you are unsatisfied with how things turn out or experience a House Challenge Fail

-Begin Game Play!


REQUIRED GOALS OF HOUSE 008
1.  As a minimum create a 5 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom home worth at least $50k Simoleons

2.  Achieve level 10 of the Author branch of the Writer Career
*You must adopt or have a science a baby upon receiving the following promotions:
 Blogger (level 2)
 Freelance Article Writer (level 3)
 Advice Columnist (level 4)
*If The Drifter does not start at level 1 of the Writer Career, adoptions will be upon the 1st, 2nd and then 3rd promotions

3.  All three Adopted or Science created Sims, as well as The Heir must each complete one Child Aspiration 
*Optional - Have each child complete a different Aspiration

4.  Produce and raise The Heir to the Young Adult life stage

*The Heir is the firstborn baby made between The Drifter and another Sim who is part of the Active Household at the time the WooHoo For Baby interaction is used
*When The Heir reaches Young Adult, stop game play, save and continue onto House 009


IT IS A HOUSE CHALLENGE FAIL IF
-Any other Required Goal was not completed before The Heir ages to Young Adult
-The Heir dies or is otherwise removed from the Active Household


THE PLAYABLE SIMS THIS HOUSE CHALLENGE
-The Drifter
-The Three Adopted or Science created Sims
-The Heir

*All other Household Sims are considered Non-Playable and may only be controlled using options specified under the following "Non-Playable Sims Can" list


-Use available options through their portrait
-Answer phones/text messages and respond to pop-up events
-Redeem points in the Rewards Store and interact with purchased items 
-Age Up 
-Open Occult specific windows and purchase/select abilities - (across multiple packs)
-Use remedies to cure sickness and/or neutralize poisons - (across multiple packs)
-Drink Plasma Packs (Vampires needed)


ADDING SIMS TO THE ACTIVE HOUSEHOLD
-Any additions to the Active Household must be made through the Ask To Join Household interaction except for the following:
*Adopted Sims
*Science Babies
*Created Clones
 (Get To Work needed)
*Whispering Wishing Well acquired Sims (Romantic Garden Stuff needed)
*Adopted Pets (across multiple packs)
*Duplicato Spell Created Clones (Realm Of Magic needed)
*Activated Servo Bots (Discover University needed)

-Check mark "Sell All Lot Furnishings" if the option is available

-Active Household Funds must be reset to the amount prior to the additions


YOU ARE NEVER ALLOWED TO
-Use any age altering, life prolonging or death defying items on any Household Sim
-Move any Sim out of the Active Household
*Does not apply to animals
-Create or designate other Sims to fill the role of The Drifter, the three Adopted/Science created Sims or The Heir


WHERE AND WHEN YOU CAN TRAVEL
-Lots any Active Household Sims are invited to 
-Lots for scheduled Events 
-Lots required for Aspiration updates
-Visit The Final Resting Place of Sims - to strengthen ties or release spirits
-Sylvan Glade - and a Lot in Foundry Cove district for access
-The Grotto - and a Lot in Acquisition Butte district or Desert Bloom for access
-All job, career and school locations (across multiple packs)
-Retail Lots that the Active Household owns (Get To Work needed)
-The Hospital (Get To Work needed) - to Have Baby
-Sixam (Get To Work needed) 
-All Festival locations - (across multiple packs)
-Club gatherings (City Living needed) 
-Vet Clinic Lots (Cats And Dogs needed) - to get treatment for pets

All Other Lots Are Considered Locked And May Not Be Selected As A Destination

  1. I have been trying to keep my family with me so I could keep the grave stones. I know that there is supposed to be six sims in this house but my current, house 7, has six sims already because of alien abductions and a set of twins. Is it OK if I move them all in and adopt the children as my soon to be elders die or should I move them in one at a time as one dies in house 8 to keep with the rules? I am trying to collect all of my gravestones for this challenge/Legacy since I have never been able to get past generation 5 in any legacy style game I play and with this challenge I do manage that.

    1. What I have been doing lately is when I get notification that a past member of the family died I will go and pick up the urn at the old house. Just a stop in and grab the urn and then back home. Only time I move in a sim is if they are the last of the previous house since I find their urn is not at the past house if they die alone.

    2. That's completely up to you tiggerwv....I set forth a set of rules, but it's up to you how hard you stay to them! My aim here is that you are having fun...so do what makes you the happiest! If it's not sticking to the rules all the time...then do that! =)

  2. If one of your adopted children gets taken away is it a house fail or can I adopt another child to complete the challenge?

    1. It would be considered a House Challenge fail as that adopted Sim filled one of the roles & nobody else can take it's place...if that makes sense.
